Has been co principal viola of the BBC symphony orchestra for 28 years. Whilst at the BBC she has appeared with them as a soloist for BBC Television under the baton of Sir Colin Davis and performed chamber music with Sir Andrew Davis whilst he was their chief conductor. She has also performed internationally as a soloist with Sir Neville Mariner with whom she has also recorded the Mozart Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola. Caroline takes a keen interest in local music and since moving to Sussex has been a regular guest principal viola with the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra.
